Custom is not always Expensive! Good day to all: Many
companies use custom database applications to track quotes, sales,
commissions, attendance and any number of other critical data
points. In most cases they grow attached to a home-grown solution. I
have also seen situations where they have decided to add modules to
their SAP or Oracle Apps environment but need the functionality
immediately. Development for these software environments can
sometimes take 6-12 months or more. We are able to fill that gap
with interim solutions that provide the needed information in a
fraction of the time and cost. Take
a look at your office. Are there reports you need on a daily, weekly
or monthly basis that you use spreadsheets for? Is it time consuming
searching for last month’s version? We can help you organize and
secure your business-critical data. In many cases we can automate
the consolidation of information from your accounting, or other
system. Give
us a call and let Access Ready Solutions simplify your life.
Remember, custom is not always expensive. Sincerely,
Joseph Growney Access Ready

We do
it Your way |

Access Ready
Solutions’ root business is developing database applications that
work the way our clients want them to. We provide solutions that
convert Excel spreadsheets and paper-based processes to Access or
SQL databases. Our solutions include automation functionality our
users need, like email, mail-merge, FTP, import/export and
interfaces with other applications like QuickBooks. We also provide
support for existing applications. Many companies have spreadsheet
or database solutions that were created by a former employee. They
often need a little help making changes, adding reports or
re-engineering their solution. Access Ready Solutions is happy to
assist with these changes. We partner with several IT Support teams
and provide this type of support for their clients. |

First Computer Bug |
||
|
In 1947, Grace Murray Hopper was working on the Harvard
University Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator (a primitive computer). On the 9th of September, 1947, when the machine was
experiencing problems, an investigation showed that there was a moth
trapped between the points of Relay #70, in Panel F. The operators removed the moth and affixed it to the log.
(See the picture above.) The entry reads: "First actual case of
bug being found." The
word went out that they had "debugged" the machine and the
term "debugging a computer program" was born. Although Grace Hopper was always careful to admit that she was not there when it actually happened, it was one of her favorite stories. See more fun facts at: http://www.jamesshuggins.com/h/tek1/first_computer_bug.htm
